The Propane Autogas Roadshow Series was hosted by the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program to bring information about propane autogas benefits and technology to fleets in the southeastern U.S. The roadshows featured presentations from propane autogas technology providers and gave fleet owners and drivers the opportunity to test-drive the vehicles.
Clean Cities Coalitions throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic implemented the events in each state of the Program’s footprint.
Roadshows were a great opportunity for fleet owners and managers to learn more about a domestic fuel that reduces operating costs and vehicle emissions. It was also a good way for vehicle mechanics and enthusiasts to learn more about what’s under the hood of a propane autogas vehicle. Additionally, government officials and community members learned about what local organizations were doing to make a difference by making the switch from gasoline to propane autogas vehicles.

Palmetto State Clean Fuels Coalition
More than 100 people attended the Alabama Propane Autogas Roadshow to learn about how autogas could benefit their organizations. Alliance AutoGas and Metro Lawn presented about aftermarket conversion and propane lawnmower options, respectively, and Vestavia Hills Mayor Alberto Zaragoza shared how his city’s propane autogas fleet is benefiting the community with reduced emissions and fuel savings.

Maryland Clean Cities and Virginia Clean Cities
Maryland, Virginia and Greater Washington Clean Cities collaborated to host a roadshow with special guest Roush dragster racer Susan Roush McClenaghan. The event was held at the Maryland International Raceway, and attendees spoke to autogas experts, got a first-hand look at a variety of autogas vehicles, including Susan’s dragster, and watched Susan in her qualifying runs for an upcoming race.

Middle Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition
The Middle Tennessee roadshow was held at the Hermitage Police Department and attracted area fleets interested in cutting fuel costs and reducing harmful vehicle pollutants. This great event also featured fleet success stories, a ride and drive, and a sponsored lunch.

Land-of-Sky’s roadshow in Asheville, NC, was held at the beautiful Biltmore Estate and was held in conjunction with the SPADP all-partner meeting. Numerous media outlets covered the event, and some highlights include success stories from local autogas fleets, including the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Mobility, and the Biltmore State.
