This Program, in coordination with Clean Cities Coalitions throughout the Southeastern U.S., is hosting a Roadshow Series to share information with fleets and the public about propane autogas technology and benefits. Some of the highlights from past events are below!
Birmingham, AL 6/21/12
More than 100 people attended the Alabama Propane Autogas Roadshow to learn about how autogas could benefit their organizations. Alliance AutoGas and Metro Lawn presented about aftermarket conversion and propane lawnmower options, respectively, and Vestavia Hills Mayor Alberto Zaragoza shared how his city’s propane autogas fleet is benefitting the community with reduced emissions and fuel savings.
Mechanicsville, MD 6/8/12
Maryland, Virginia and Greater Washington Clean Cities collaborated to host a roadshow with special guest Roush dragster racer Susan Roush McClenaghan. The event was held at the Maryland International Raceway, and attendees spoke to autogas experts, got a first-hand look at a variety of autogas vehicles, including Susan’s dragster, and watched Susan in her qualifying runs for an upcoming race.

Hermitage, TN 5/31/12
The Middle Tennesse roadshow was held at the Hermitage Police Departament and attracted area fleets interested in cutting fuel costs and reducing harmful vehicle pollutants. This great event also featured fleet success stories, a ride and drive, and a sponsored lunch.
Knoxville, TN 5/30/12
East Tennessee Clean Fuels put on an outstanding event that brought in dozens of fleet owners and managers interested in learning about the benefits of an available technology for propane autogas. Local autogas fleet City of Kingsport also talked about their cost-savings and emmission displacement

Asheville, NC 5/03/12
Land-of-Sky’s roadshow in Asheville, NC, was held at the beautiful Biltmore Estate and was held in conjuntion with the SPADP all-partner meeting. Numerous media outlets covered the event, and some highlights include sucess stories from local autogas fleets, including the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Mobility, and the Biltmore State.

Greenville, SC 4/24/12
The Greenville roadshow was a very successful event held at the TD convention Center. Local fleets, interested in learning more about autogas, as well as Coalition stakeholders, listened to presentations from autogas experts, vendors, and fleets, and enjoyed a ride and drive and lunch.

Atlanta, GA 4/14/12
Clean Cities Atlanta held an excellent roadshow in the heart of Atlanta, in conjuntion with the Propane Centennial Celebration. The event included a clean air rally and autogas parade, and attendance was high as people came out to recognize propane’s 100 year-history.
